India vs Pakistan ICC Cricket World Cup 2019: The forecast for today has been revised to 70 per cent chance of rain. As it stands now, the forecast for Sunday is for light drizzle only, and even though there will be spells rains in the afternoon the forecast for rain forecast is revolving around 50 per cent throughout the day. Yesterday the sun is out in Manchester and that should be good news for cricket fans eagerly waiting for the Indian-Pakistan encounter.

CricketCountry correspondent, Aditya Bhattacharya, says it was sunny in the morning yesterday, but became in the evening and as for today, the game will be interrupted by showers, but can expect a full game.

Who would have thought that two weeks into the ODI cricket’s biggest carnival and weather will be on everyone’s mind. While there have been a host of several eye-catching performances since the tournament kicked-off on May 30, rain gods have been unkind towards ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. What else explains that out of 18 matches, four had to be called off due to rain.

India and New Zealand, the only two unbeaten teams of the tournament, were to face in Nottingham in what was expected to be a close contest. But the match was a complete washout as persistent rain continued to lash Trent Bridge, keeping the pitch under the covers. The players, fans and match officials kept their fingers crossed for almost five hours before giving up. The two teams have shared a point each.

The focus now is on another high-voltage clash – India vs Pakistan. It’s a stories rivalry between the two neighbours who nowadays only square off in either ICC or continental events owing to non-cricketing reasons. The contest will be played on June 16 (Sunday) and has been a sellout.

But, yup the dreaded but. The forecast for Sunday in Manchester is, as of now, of light showers. So, at the moment it doesn’t look like it will be a complete washout but rain might play some part in it.
